The unique vineyards of Paso Robles are on full display with this special offer featuring the 2007 Viognier from Fralich Vineyard, the 2006 Syrah from Alamo Creek Vineyard, and the 2007 Grenache from Herder Vineyard.
2007 Viognier
This special wine is made from the petite Fralich vineyard farmed by the jovial Harry Fralich. This barrel fermented wine is very tropical with layers of flavor consisting of pears, apricots, and melons, all the while calling out for freshly shucked oysters.
2006 Syrah
This vintage of j.r. storey Syrah comes from the Alamo Creek Vineyard 20 miles from the ocean in southern San Luis Obispo county. The vines produce a wine of great intensity as they struggle to survive in the gravelly soil of a dry creek bed. Syrah clones 174 and 877 work together to provide unique flavors with structure for aging.
2007 Grenache
This wine comes from the Herder vineyard just a few miles east of Templeton cooled by the breezes from the Templeton Gap. The soil, composed of fossilized oysters, gravel, sand, and limestone, gives this intense wine a nose of blueberries and spice.
