David Cohen, Owner, Winemaker of Moondance Cellars, Orchard Station Winery, and The Friendly Dog Winery has never made a wine he hasn’t loved. Although he believes that it takes a lot of beer to make good wine, as the son of concert musicians he also learned at a young age to appreciates some of life’s finer offerings. He carries that appreciation forward in his hand-crafted, award winning wines.
Together with his wife Priscilla, David shares a cozy home and small winery in the coastal hills of Sebastopol where, whether wine-making or managing their demanding business they are in constant company of their two Australian Shepards, Quarter Horses, and their little blond Miniature horse, named Mini Me. Priscilla changes hats a few days a week and takes on the management responsibilities of their tasting room, The Wine Room.
