WINEMAKER NOTES
This fruit forward wine was built from the best barrel lots of Merlot sourced from three vineyards in southern Oregon including our estate Fault Line Vineyards. It has characteristic ripe plum, currant, and dark fruit aromas that revolve around notes of chocolaty oak, cherry, dried herbs, and spice. The wine will continue to improve with proper storage for the next five years. Pair with a juicy grilled ribeye and baby carrots.
AWARDS, RATINGS & REVIEWS
90 points, Oregon Wine Geeks
A richer wine than the 2007 Merlot from Abacela, the nose shows a rich deep black fruit, clove and cardamom. The taste is a large tart fruit, black cherry, with supple and acidic tannin. This is a very fine merlot from a premier Umpqua Valley producer.
