This Zinfandel has a deep brick red color similar to our 2003 and is a slightly drier wine than our Zagan’s but still very fruity on the palate with it’s spicy white pepper finish. We have kept this Zin in the barrel longer and feel it has given more to the wine while maintaining a nice balance of tannins. When blenderd with our Petite Syrah it has intensified the overall wine. We feel this wine focuses on maintaining the integrity of a true Zinfandel without the heavier, jammy, prune taste found in the current styles of winemaking.
