Wine Details

AmericanWinery.com is pleased to provide you with Winery-Direct information.

A dark, mysterious and fun Rosé, this lively wine smartly combines Syrah with a touch of Viognier, into a work of art. Fuller-bodied than most Rosé this completely dry offering exudes notes of strawberries, raspberries, spice and rose petals. Framed with a natural acidity that leaves the palate refreshed with a crisp finish. We suggest that you serve this wine chilled as you would any other Rose. Cheers!

Winemaker’s Comments:

This wine is the follow up wine to last years Syrah Rosé. We sold out of it quickly, so we doubled production this year. All of our Syrah comes from the Necomb Palatino vineyard in Oakley. The grapes were crushed and left on the skins for about 24 hours, giving it the “midnight” ruby red characteristic. We blended in 5% Viognier to round out the nose. Color is just slightly lighter than last year, but overall flavor I feel is better than the 2008.
