Wine Details
AmericanWinery.com is pleased to provide you with Winery-Direct information.
This is a superior Merlot owing to the long mild summer preceding the harvest. The hand-harvested grapes were fermented in small batches using traditional punchdowns to mix the cap and the juice. This rich, dark Merlot was aged 15 months in French oak barrels. Notes of black cherry, leather, earth, and spicy oak dominate this vintage.
Vintage Notes
These Merlot grapes were grown in our Los Alamos vineyard. Cool nights and mild, sunny days combined to provide a long growing season, giving the grapes plenty of time to ripen slowly and develop maximum varietal character.
Fermentation Notes
Aged for 20 months in barrel, this wine is smooth and supple with soft ripe tannins.
