The nose is filled with dark cherries, toasty oak, ripe cassis, and a hint of chocolate all combining to form an intricate and powerful aroma. In the mouth, the 2005 Cabernet is silky yet bold. The tannins are slightly more noticeable than the 2004 year, but still very balanced. This complex wine has a long finish leaving fresh berries lingering on your tongue. Very drinkable right now, but save a bottle or two and age it for 2-3 years.
