Aromas of brambly blackberry, chocolate and licorice form the nose on our 1988 Library Petite Sirah, or “Pet,” a varietal known for its fruit-packed, robust and tannic structure. After 17 years in the bottle, the tannins have mellowed and give way to a mouthful of ripe black cherry, licorice and clove flavors which carry into a long, velvety finish.
