This Rhone varietal can range in body from quite light to quite strong and our 2005 vintage is somewhere in between. Awash with the color of ripe red cherries, the nose is redolent of sweet raspberries yielding to a heady perfume of rose-petal tobacco. In the mouth, exotic tastes of roses and myrrh accent the wine’s essential flavor of ultra-ripe berries. Grenache integrates well with a wide variety of fresh and flavorful dishes. May we suggest Moroccan spiced lamb, marinated portabella steaks or Serrano ham sandwiches?
