Vintage Notes
This is the perfect vintage for warm site Merlot as is reflected in this vintage which favors the Wells vineyard in the overall blend. The moderate growing season and cooler fall rendered an elegant Merlot that opens with supple blueberry flavors backed by toasty oak and opens to soft tannins with breathing time.
Fermentation Notes
- Crushed and then put into fermentation tanks to cold soak for 2 days to allow color and flavor extraction.
- Ferments in stainless steal tanks. Hand punched 3 times a day. Temperatures do not exceed 85 degrees Fahrenheit
