Vintage Notes

The blend for this wine is the who’s who of our cellars. We pull a little from each of our red wines to blend a wine that is “present” in the glass and full on the palate. 2004 was a year that threatened drought when Mother Nature stepped in to provide plenty of rain throughout the growing season. The cooler temperatures followed by a warm ripening season made for a near perfect vintage.

Fermentation Notes

Crushed and fermented in our usual approach. Aged in newer and up to four year old barrels. Racked 4 times Filtered 1 to 2 times. Blended in July, 2005 with an eye toward creating a beautiful fruit-forward table wine that makes a lasting good impression. A reliably fun and interesting pour. Coarse filtered.
