We bottled this very special wine on June 21, 2008. This was the day that lightening started over 130 fires in Mendocino County. We were bottling this wine as fires around us began to grow. The closest fire was only 1/2 mile away. Luckily the very professional and brave firefighting teams from Anderson Valley and other parts of the state made a stand against this fire and our home and winery were saved. We dedicate this wine and our 2007 Pinot Gris to them. Thank you.
