This dry-style Gewürztraminer is made from grapes grown on our Dunne Ranch located 15 miles from the Pietra Santa Estate. The wine is made from a special block hand pruned and trellised to create the optimal sun exposure for this grape varietal. The vines in this area are low yielding and the resulting fruit is highly extracted with a tremendous nose and balanced acidity.
Our Pietra Santa Gewürztraminer has a floral bouquet of lavender and spring grasses with flavors of crisp green apples and lemons. Natural acidity in this wine makes it especially refreshing for a summer picnic. Serve with mild cheeses, apples or pears, spicy Thai foods or your holiday turkey.
