This 100% Merlot was hand harvested at an average of 25 Brix on October 1, 2006. We chose to ferment our Merlot in small 1 ton bins. The Merlot was aged for 18 months in 60 percent French and 20 American oak barrels. With dry spring weather and moderate temperatures, the 2006 harvest provided nearly perfect conditions for bud break and bloom. This wine captures rich flavors of deep cherry and spice.
