Hand-selected and blended from two 59-gallon barrels out of a small lot of Merlot from Rosebud Vineyard, this wine sports a nose of wild strawberry and caramel. Intense aromatic character merges with subtler notes of tobacco, leather and black pepper. The finish is incredibly lengthy. Low alcohol, firm acidity and good structure qualify this wine as one with long-aging potential. Pair with roast leg of lamb stuffed with Kalamata olives, garlic and rosemary.
